Carrol "Clyde" Goff
July 4, 1933 - January 28, 2006

WAGENER - Carrol "Clyde" Goff, 72 answered his last dispatch, and made his last run, receiving his, "Well done thy Good and Faithful Servant.  Formerly of Gilbert, Carrol passed peacefully at his home, January 28, 2006 in Wagener SC. 

Mr. Goff was born in Saluda Co., the son of the late Joseph Graham and Edna Duncan Goff. He was also predeceased by his stepmother Lila Corder Goff. Mr. Goff is survived by his wife Frieda Williamson Goff, son and daughter-in-law Randy and Renee` Goff and, daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Kenny Merck, grand- children Carl Hammond, Austin and Erika Goff, Shaun and Jackie Roland, Brandi and Joey Moore and Nikki and Brady Merck, great grandchildren Lauren, Abigayle and Jacob Roland all of Lexington, sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Jesse Goodwin of Greenwood mother-in-law Emma C. Williamson Senn of Leesville, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Jeanette B. Williamson and Willette and John Ingalls all of Wagener, Jeanette and Eddie Harrison of Sumter and beloved confidante JAKE.

Mr. Goff was a member of Convent Baptist Church. He served in the National Guard and was a self-employed truck Owner - Operator, working for many companies including Southeastern, Star, and Wando, retiring from Commodity Express in 2002 with a career spanning 51 years. He was also a mason with the Masonic Lodge 152 of Lexington.

Funeral Services for Mr. Goff, formerly of Gilbert will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday at the Convent Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Lee and Rev. Bill Padgett officiating. Pallbearers will be fellow truck drivers. Burial will follow in the Wagener Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 South Main St., Wagener, (803) 564-5333.
