Barbara Jean Gantt Gunn

Fairview – Mrs. Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Gantt Gunn, 76, entered into rest Friday May 19, 2017.

Mrs. Barbara is the wife of Melvin Lee Gunn.  They were happily married for forty-nine years. She is the mother of Staley Arthur “Art” (Debbie) Clemmer, Kristi Leigh (Joseph) Vuocolo, and William "Billy" H. (Sandra) Crouch.  She is the grandmother of Courtney (Keon) Wilson, Allison Clemmer, Jessie Cain, Rachael (Bryce) Lay, Joseph “Stefan” (Megan) Vuocolo, Mark Vuocolo (Amber), Mathew Vuocolo and John Vuocolo.  She is the great grandmother of Jaiden Wilson, Braylon Wilson, Makenna Lay, and Rylan Vuocolo. Mrs. Barbara is the daughter of Fannie Baughman Gantt and the late William Byron Gantt, Sr.; and the sister of Gloria Fay Julius, William Byron (Becky) Gantt, Jr., and James “Jimmy” (Lisa) Gantt.  She is the aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Barbara was a very active member of Convent Baptist Church.  She loved her church family, enjoyed western square dance, and white water rapids. She adored her beloved pet Bitsy.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 163 Main St. S, Wagener, SC  29164. The Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday at Convent Baptist Church, 787 Convent Church Road, Leesville, SC, 29070, with burial in church cemetery.  Pastor Travis Crumpton will be ministering.
