James Alfred "Ringo" Jones

Salley – Mr. James Alfred “Ringo” Jones, 66, entered into rest Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

Ringo is the husband of Shirley Hallman Jones for 47 years. He is the father of Tammy Huckabee and her husband Travis and James Bryan Jones. Ringo is the grandfather of Brett Nicole Smith, Douglas Jared “D.J.” Smith and his fiancée Rebecca Martin, James Matthew “Jamie” Huckabee, and Johnnie Charles Huckabee and great grandfather of Riley Briggs Salley. He is the brother of Floyd Eugene Jones and his wife Joan of Leesville, Carl David Jones and his wife Jane of Newport, NC, Stacey Jeffcoat, Jr. and his wife Linda of Savannah, GA, Gregory “Hipp” Jeffcoat and his companion Faye, Carolyn Jeffcoat of Lexington, Davey Ray “Crockett” Jeffcoat of Swansea, and the late Charles E. “Sam” Jones and his wife Janice, the late Mary Ruth Jackson and her husband Wyman, and the late Walter Herbert Jeffcoat. He is the son of Dezeree Jones Jeffcoat, the late Carl Jones, and the late Stacey Jeffcoat, Sr.

Ringo is a Marine who served in Vietnam. He is a member of Clinton United Methodist Church. Ringo was a welder traveling to work shut down jobs. He loved to fish and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Funeral will be 2 pm Saturday at Clinton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Grayson “Butch” Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors presented by the U. S. Marines. Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 6304 members will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Clinton United Methodist Church at 333 Hollow Creek Road, Salley, S. C. 29137.
