Joyce Rish Oswald

Wagener – Mrs. Joyce Rish Oswald, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Mrs. Joyce was the wife of the late Milford “Buck” T. Oswald, Sr. for 42 years. She was the mother of Milford (Faye) Oswald, Jr., Lynn (Ronnie) West, and Todd (Barbara) Oswald.  She was the grandmother of Shannon (Kevin) Brown, Chip (Amanda) Oswald, Cody (Bailey) West, Trevor West, Ashleigh Oswald, and Madeline “Maddie” Oswald.  She was the great grandmother of Drew Brown, Jenna Brown, Amelia “Mia” Oswald, Ava Cliatt, and Rylee Cliatt.  She was the daughter of the late Morris Arthur Rish and Myrtle Kennedy Oliver Rish.  She was the sister of Emily Taylor, Irma Jean Gunter, the late Clara Padgett, Ellen Winniefred Rish, Marjorie Padgett, Leverne Rish, Wilton Rish, Thornwell Rish, and Agnes Gunter. 

She was a member of Seivern Baptist Church where she was very involved in the ministries and activities.  She was loved and respected by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, Wagener, SC. A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Joyce will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Seivern Baptist Church, Wagener with the Rev. Milford Oswald and Rev. Geoff Mason officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
