Lila Mae (Sheppard) Collins

New Holland – Mrs. Lila Mae Sheppard Collins, 81, entered into rest Friday, February 17, 2017.

Mrs. Lila Mae was the wife of John Hez Collins for fifty years prior to his death in 2006. She was the loving mother of Kathryn “Kathy” and Bryan Shull of Rock Hill and John Michael “Mike” and Terri Collins of New Holland. She was the loving grandmother of Bryan Shannon Shull, Christopher “Chris” Raymond and Beth Shull, and Jeremi Michael and Lora Shull, and loving great grandmother of Bryana Shull, Bryanti Shull, Bryell Shull, Brooke Shull, Christian Shull, Alyssa Shull, and Keagan Shull. Mrs. Lila Mae was the sister of Grace Hughes, Mary King, and Ronnie and Barbara Sheppard. Mrs. Lila Mae was the special friend of Ernest Bowen. She was the sister-in-law of Damie Ray Simons and Luke Collins. She was the daughter of the late Voyd and Clara Cook Sheppard.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Lila Mae will be Monday at 2 pm in the New Holland Baptist Church where she was a member. Rev. Owen McAlister will be ministering to the family. The family asks that memorials be made to the church at 2279 New Holland Road, Wagener, SC 29164. Interment will be in the New Holland Baptist Church Cemetery.
