Gryphon is the husband of Darlene “Mystic” Jo Schultz Bell of Lexington. They have been married for 17 years. He is the son of Floyd Franklin Bell and Mary Ann Walters Bell of Temperance, Michigan. Gryphon is the father of Zachary Ryan Bush of Lexington, SC, Matthew Ryan (Maria Chapa) Bell, Jr. of Walbridge, Ohio, Brieanna Haney of Lexington, SC, Kaylene Dunnett of Aberdeen, NC, Brittany (Michael “Trey” Thornton, III ) Lau of Lexington, SC, and Abbigail (Brian Mosley) Lau of Lexington, SC.  Gryphon is the papa of Lilly Bell, Matthew Bell, Anahlycia Bell, Sofea Bell, William Haney, Rhiannon Haney, and Christian Lau. He is the brother of Jeanette (David Ueberroth) Bell-Ueberroth of Toledo, Ohio, Vennito Benny (Ashley) Marquez of Port Clinton, Ohio, Cristol El-berri of Port Clinton, Ohio, Edwin Cancel of Columbus, Ohio, and Alan Cancel-Cruz of Orlando, Florida. He has many nieces and nephews. Gryphon’s lifelong friend is Joseph Adamski of Oregon, Ohio, and “sister” is Rebecca “Ranee” Adolph of Pinehurst, NC.

Gryphon is Mystic’s soul mate and the love of her life (Yo Te Amo). He was strong willed, dedicated husband, father, and friend of many. Gryphon left to soon. He had plans to meet new found family members.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 6, 2017 from 1 to 4. A time of celebration will be following at the home.
