Nathan Leaphart, Sr.

Wagener – Mr. Nathan Leaphart, Sr., 81, went to his eternal home Monday, January 8, 2018.

Mr. Leaphart married Dorothy Jeffcoat Leaphart on July 2, 1953. They have two sons, Glenn (Kathy) Leaphart, Jr. of South Congaree and Danny (Trish) Leaphart of Raleigh, NC. Their grandchildren are Renae and Jason Downs, Nathan and Desiree Leaphart, III, and Jeremy and Amanda Leaphart. Their great grandchildren are, Brianna Leaphart, Kaitlyn Leaphart, Ashley Downs, Abigail Downs and Logan Leaphart. He is the son of the late Sidney Lafayette and Lessie Elizabeth Gunter Leaphart. He is also preceded in death by siblings N. B. Leaphart and Marie Epting.

Mr. Leaphart faithfully attended Wagener United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Leaphart Christmas Tree Farm.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services.  A service celebrating the life of Mr. Leaphart will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at the Wagener United Methodist Church. Reverend Jim Bennett will be ministering. Burial will be in the Wagener Cemetery.
