Roy Andreas Ken Byrd

Salley – Roy Andreas Ken Byrd, 47, entered into rest Friday, February 9, 2018.

Roy is the father of Katherine Leigh Byrd Hanby of Lake City, Florida. He is the grandfather of Leila Hanby, Athena Hanby, and Wyatt Michael Ken Shaffer

Roy is the son of James “Jim” Andrew Byrd and Anni Ursula Sonnenwald Byrd of Salley. He is the brother of Marcia Diane Brown of Covington, Louisiana and the late Sascha Kai Byrd.

Roy is a veteran of the U. S. Marines. He was a volunteer fireman with the Wagener VFD and a volunteer Public Safety Officer with the Wagener Police Department.

Memorials may be made to Mount Hermon Baptist Church at 1845 Cedar Creek Road, Pelion, SC 29123.

A Memorial Service, with military honors, will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 beginning at 12:00 noon at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Pelion SC.  The Rev. Josiah Mazzell will be ministering to the family.

A Memorial Service is being planned.
