Wagener - Sallie Fulmer Oswald, 61 years old, entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2017. Born in Aiken County, the daughter of the later Luther Cannon and Norma Lee Fulmer, she was the wife for forty-seven years of Roscoe “Rocky” Elliott Oswald, Jr. She retired from Wachovia and was a life-long and very active member of Seivern Baptist Church.
She exemplified her Christian beliefs by being soft spoken, gentle spirited, patient, and kind-hearted to all. Her great love and energy was devoted to her family and church community. She has left a legacy to her family of her faithfulness, strength, and dependable dedication. We thank her for her love and joyful spirit, and will carry her memory always into our future. Her loving and devoted husband, Rocky, her family, and her church family will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sisters Jane Fulmer Kyzer, Dollie Fulmer, Doris Fulmer Hutson Budd, and her niece, Jennifer Lynn Hutson.
Those left to cherish her fond memories in addition to her husband are: her children and their spouses, Stephanie and Sandy Allen, and Roscoe “Stony” and Severine Orban Oswald; her grandchildren Samuel (Sam) Cannon and Buck Elliott Allen; sisters and spouses (children) Mary Lee and Manfred Stoll (Mickey and David Ritchie), and Justine and Jimmy Williamson (Meredith and Meagan); brothers-in-law Mark Kyzer, Jeffrey Yon, and Jim Budd; sisters-in-law and spouses (children) Linda and Tony Oswald (Sarah), Charlotte and Tom Bryant (Jaritte), Phyllis and Kevin Oswald (Ashley and Austin), and other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19th, 5-7pm at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home in Wagener, SC. Services will be held at Seivern Baptist Church on Saturday, May 20th at 4 pm with interment to follow at the church cemetery.
