Skippy "Skip" Dale Yon

Salley – Mr. Skippy “Skip” Dale Yon, 67, entered into rest Friday, January 13, 2017.

Skip was the father of Amy Williamson of Aiken and Candace (Tim) Bell of Springfield; grandfather of Bradley Williamson, Jeremy Williamson and Stephanie Bell; and brother of Brenda Wooten of Salley, Jack (Alice) Yon of Wagener, Ronald Yon, Jimmy (Leila) Yon, Gail Shiffner all of Salley, and the late Brodus “Bo” Yon, Jr. and Kathy Pou. Skip was born April 4, 1949 to the late Brodus Yon, Sr. and Elease Williams Yon. 

Skip was a member of Perry First Assembly. He graduated from Wagener High School and Aiken Technical College. Skip was retired from Fluor Daniel where he was project manager for many of their large project start ups.  Some of his favorite things to do were playing baseball, golfing, and fishing.  Skip spent most of his time outdoors.  He loved to garden and could grow anything.

Skip leaves behind more family, friends, and co-workers who he dearly loved.  He had a very giving heart and will be missed by many. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, January 22, 2017 in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home with a time of fellowship following. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Churches Together for Kids (CTFK) Ministries at P. O. Box 1115 Wagener, SC 29164.
