Thelma R. (Brown Barr) Hoff

Wagener – Mrs. Thelma Ramona Brown Hoff, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, February 10, 2017.

Mrs. Thelma was the wife of the late Earl Herbert Barr, Sr. and the late Jacob Benjiman Hoff. She was the mother of Deborah Jean (Larry) Hartley, the late Earl H. Barr, Jr. and the late Robert Wetsell Barr. She was the grandmother of Dedra (Mike) Hickman, Katey Perkins, and Deborah Marie (Steve) Bradley.  She was the great grandmother of Dustin (Katelin) Hickman, Dalton Hickman, Kristina S. Miller, Dakota Smith, Erica (John) Fulmer, Christopher Allen Hartley, Shawn Douglas Bradley, and Destiny Bradley. Mrs. Thelma was the daughter of the late Thomas Reford Brown and the late Iva Eunice Bailey Brown.  She was the sister of the late Mildred Brown, O’Shield (Bubba) Brown, Sr., Lila Kearse, and Naomi Hallman. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Thelma was a homemaker who loved to bake and sew. Children were always drawn to her. She took care of them as her own. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Thelma will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Wagener and other times at the home of Marie Bradley, 280 Blackbird Road, Wagener. A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Thelma will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday also in the chapel.  Burial will be in the Salley Oakview Cemetery.
