Billy Wood

New Holland – Mr. Billy Wood, 59, entered into rest Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Billy was the husband of Inez Snipes Wood, the father of Jessica Wood, grandfather of Hayley Byars, Kelsey Byars, and Zac Spatz, and the brother of Joe Wood, Dewey Guerry, and Gloria Durham. Billy was the son of the late Annis and Betty Toole Wood. He was adopted and raised by his grandparents, Jesse Carol “J.C.” and Emmie Inell Cooper Wood. Billy’s special friend was Rita Heyward.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Funeral Service will be 4 pm Tuesday at New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Virgil Parsons officiating. Burial will be in the New Holland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society at 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S. C. 29210-1790 or American Diabetes Association at 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
