Blanchard "A. B." Cooper

Salley – Mr. Blanchard “A.B.” Cooper, 66, entered into rest Thursday, March 30, 2017.

Blanchard “A.B.” is the husband of Judy Hutto Cooper for 46 years. He is the father of David B. (Jenny) Cooper of Lexington, Chad M. (Allison) Cooper, and Jessica C.  (Stephen) Bodiford all of Aiken. Blanchard is the grandfather (Papa) of Claire Cooper, Natalie Cooper, Crews Cooper, Camden Cooper, Kyah Bodiford, Kennedy Bodiford, Kasey Bodiford, and Briggs Bodiford. Blanchard is the brother of Beverly (Ray) Youngblood of Blackville and brother-in-law of Rev. Thomas “Tommy” (Nancy) Hutto of Winnsboro, and the late Carol Jean Hutto. He is the son of the late Blanchard Elmer Cooper, Jr. and the late Nancy Arlene Cromer Cooper.

Blanchard “A.B.” was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon as well as other areas of ministry.  He retired from Savannah River Site after 35 years of service as a Machinist.

He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 pm Sunday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Funeral Service will be 5 pm Monday at Rocky Grove Baptist Church, (332 Rocky Grove Road, Salley) with the Rev. John O’Cain officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Rocky Grove Baptist Church at P. O. Box 508, Salley, S. C. 29137.
