Deborah Loraine West Strachan

Batesburg- Mrs. Deborah West Strachan, 62, entered into rest, Friday, March 24, 2017.

Deborah was the wife of Dr. Robert “Bob” David Strachan, the mother of Erin Noel (Jason DuRant) West, Austin Cory (Taylor) West, Benjamin (Sarah) Strachan, and Hannah (Scott) Williams.  She was the grandmother of Connor LeCroy West, Logan Patrick David West, Kyla Naomi West, Sally Mae Strachan and Luke Robert Williams.  She was the sister of Oliver B. (Linda) West, Sr., and sister-in-law of William Clark (Beth) Strachan. Deborah was the daughter of the late LeCroy and Carrie Lou Baughman West. She was also the daughter-n-law of Gordon Strachan.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 2 pm also in the funeral home chapel with Rev Lee Phillips officiating.  Burial will be in Wagener Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Aiken at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1122 Lady Street #1000, Columbia, SC 29201 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
