Welcome to the memorial page for

Glenna Margaret Mills

July 9, 1958 ~ April 16, 2017 (age 58) 58 Years Old

Gaston - Glenna Margaret Mills, the Matriarch of the Mills family, beloved Sister, Aunt and Friend went to sunrise service in heaven this Easter morning, April 16, 2017 at 4:41 AM.  We’re sure she sang in the heavenly choir rejoicing in ultimate worship and adoration.  What a glorious day for going home and being reunited with her mother and  father, Glenn William Mills, Sr and Mary Edna Mills.

As a Sister, Glenna was the boss and eldest.  Ross Mills (Denice), Tonia Mills, Glenn Mills (Theresa), and Kyle Mills (Rhoda) remain to mourn the loss of their beloved sister.  She orchestrated the comings and goings of Mills clan holidays and celebrations with great love.

Her nieces and nephews, MaryLynn Mills, Ashley Robertson (Luke), Cameron Mills, William Mills and Lydia Mills were very special to her.  She was proud of every accomplishment and very much enjoyed being with them and telling others about them.

Glenna catered many events during her life.  She was a great cook and one of her favorite verses adorned her business cards and box lunches. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8.

As a well-respected PICU nurse, Glenna cared for many patients and families with compassion and great skill.  She touched so many lives and was such a blessing as she prayed with and for her many patients and coworkers. She was a wonderful teacher and trained many nurses and residents, always leading by example and never faltering from the high expectations she set for herself and those around her.

First and foremost, Glenna is a child of God.  She was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. She served her church faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, Choir director and Church Secretary. To some friends she was known as Glenna Moses. The Lord used her to lead others to him and she happily complied.

Glenna lived for the Lord and has made some special requests for her Memorial service.  She would like for everyone to come prepared to celebrate her life with great joy, happiness and fellowship. Prior to the service there will be a celebration of life gathering in the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Always fun loving, she has also requested that the ladies celebrate her life by wearing hats and/or feather boas to her memorial service.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to all of the friends that came together to assist in her care during her final days.

Glenna’s Celebration will be held at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church located 4625 US 321, Gaston, S.C. 29053 on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  Celebration time will be in the Fellowship Hall from 5pm to 7pm. Followed by a Memorial service at 7pm.
