Hazel Blair Eagerton

Wagener – Mrs. Hazel Ruth Blair Eagerton went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Mrs. Eagerton is survived her children; Bernard (Ann) Eagerton, Jr., Marilyn (late Olin) Hutto, Sue E. Richbourg, Billy (Kathe) Eagerton, and Karen (Bill, III) Frye, grandchildren; Kristi (Mel) Eagerton, Jonathan (Kristen) Eagerton, Brad (Chris) Hutto, John (Kathleen) Hutto,  William (Natalie) Hutto, Patrick (Katie) Hutto, Kellie (Nick) Watson, Allison Page, Patrick Eagerton, Jaime Eagerton, Amy (Michael) Lindale, Jennifer (Clint) Sizemore, Kimberly (Brad) Dunbar, Bill Frye, IV, and Matthew Frye,  great grandchildren; Trent Eagerton, Chad Eagerton, The Late Andrew Hutto, Matthew (Sarrah)  Hutto, Evan Hutto, Haydn Hutto, Samuel Hutto, Jacob Hutto, Savannah Hutto, Nora Hutto, Ajax Hutto, Chuck Hutto, Guy Hutto, Olin "Bo" Hutto, Helen Hutto, Elijah Hutto, Jackson Hutto, Nate Watson, Luke Watson, Avery Watson, The Late Ryan Eagerton, Adryan Eagerton, Shelby Lindale, Skylar Lindale, Sophie Lindale, Nathan Sizemore, Brighton Dunbar, and Emory Dunbar. and great great grandchild Lillian Hutto. She was the sister of Mary Alice Barrs, Norris “Sonny” Blair, and the late William “Bo” Blair. Our mother will be remembered as a loving, kind, generous lady and a follower of the Lord. Her witness was an inspiration and example for all.

Mrs. Eagerton was born in Augusta, GA the daughter of the late William Solomon Blair and Susie Camile Norris Blair. She was married to the late Haywood Bernard Eagerton, Sr for 69 years.

Mrs. Eagerton was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher and a member of the WMU.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 2 from 2 to 3 p.m. in Bethcar Baptist Church. A Service to celebrate Mrs. Hazel’s life will be Thursday at 3 p.m. also in Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethcar Baptist Church Missions at P.O. Box 546, Wagener, SC 29164.
