James Thomas "Tommy" Watkins

West Columbia – James Thomas “Tommy” Watkins, 50, entered into rest Sunday, March 3, 2019.

Tommy is the husband of Christina Marie Hook Watkins of Hollister, MO. He is the son of Joyce Ann Baker (Mitchell Smith) Watkins of West Columbia and the late Francis O’Neal Watkins, Sr.  Tommy is the father of Daniel Rich Haynes of Winnipeg, Canada, James Glen Watkins of Lincolnton, CA, Joshua Dylan (Crystal) Watkins of Gaston, Justin Thomas Blake Watkins of Gaston, Katlyn Brianna Nicole Watkins of Gaston, Alexis Michelle Blackburn of Lexington, Jasmine Taylor Watkins of West Columbia, Courtney Marie Neff of Orlando, FL, Corey Brian Neff of Orlando, FL, and Natalie Marie Neff of Hollister, MO.  Tommy is the grandfather Steven Jules Watkins, Axel Kane Watkins, Kinzlee Elizabeth McIver, Rodney James Levi Watkins, Emerson Watkins, Lillian Michelle Terrell, and Malayiah Josette Bencosme-Urnea. He is the brother of Francis O’Neal (Vercilla) Watkins, Jr. of Mobile, AL, Deborah Gayle Wansley of Gilbert, George O’Neal Watkins of Jacksonville, FL, and the late Connie Marie Watkins. Tommy also has several nieces and nephews.

Tommy loved his family. He enjoyed listening to country music. Tommy loved the freedom of the open road seeing the beauty God created in nature. He was very dedicated to his work which allowed him to support his family the best he could.

A Service Celebrating the life of Tommy will be held Friday at 2 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Johnny Baker ministering. Visitation with the family will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the  family to help with expenses in care of Joyce Watkins, 2419 Scenic Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170.
