Jean (Joye) Barrs

Gaston – Ms. Jean Joye Barrs, 70, entered into rest Sunday, June 16, 2019.

Ms. Jean is survived by her sister Jacqueline Joye; her children James Barrs, Tyrone Barrs, Richard Barrs, Claudia Leviner, Angelina DeRobertis, and Shellie Barrs.  She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved dearly.  Ms. Jean was the daughter of the late Arthur Joye and the late Annie Mae Shirey Joye.

Ms. Jean also was part of the Tindal family.  She and Juanita were best friends for many years.  They enjoyed doing everything together.

Juanita and her family made sure that Jean was taken care of until Jesus called her home.

Jean will also be missed by her “Poker Buddies”.  She enjoyed cooking for them at their gatherings.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Salem Baptist Church.
