Neeses – Kevin Clifton Rentz, 49, entered into his heavenly home on Monday, November 26, 2018. He was born on December 3, 1968 to Mary Hite Rentz and the late Reverend Leonard O. Rentz in Columbia, SC.
Kevin loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. His sweet smile lit up a room. He was loved and known by many people far and wide. He has fought a long and courageous battle with Alport Syndrome/End Stage Renal Disease. He received a kidney transplant by his gracious and loving brother in love, Timothy Ayer. Due to Tim’s selfless act of giving, Kevin was able to enjoy life to the fullest with his son Edward, his wife Vonda and his many family and friends. He was able to have 24 wonderful years with a functioning kidney. Kevin then later continued his fight with the strength of Job after his kidney failed and dialysis resumed. Even in the sickest and worst times he was always thankful and would always say how blessed he was. He loved God and his family with his heart. His wife was always his rock and the love of his life. Kevin will forever be loved and remembered by all who knew him.
Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved son Kevin Edward Rentz; his father Leonard Rentz; his brothers Aaron Rentz and Bruce Rentz. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 30 years, Vonda Ayer Rentz; mother Mary Hite Rentz; two sisters Frances (David) Hoogenboom and Miriam (Larry) Taylor. Kevin is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Carl and Hilda Ayer; brother and sister-in-law Tim and Deborah Ayer; nieces and nephews Kim (Freddie) Phillips, Nora (Earl) Ricard, Travis (Jennifer) Henzler, Justin (Kate) Henzler, Andy (Ashley) Ayer, Mitch (Corey) Ayer, Tamara Ayer and the late Josh Ayer; great nieces and nephews Lauren Phillips, Dylan Phillips, Hunter Ricard, Blaine Ricard, Ashlyn Henzler, Karson Henzler, Leyton Henzler, Liam Henzler, Ella Henzler, Christopher McClure, James Ayer, and Mason Ayer.
