LCpl Cody E. Miller, USMC

Wagener –  Lance Corporal Cody Everett Miller, USMC, 23, entered into rest Wednesday, April 19, 2017 while fulfilling his life-long dream of serving his country as a United States Marine in Camp LeJeune, NC.

LCpl Miller is the son of Curtis E. “Gilly” Miller and Lisa Malatesta Miller of Wagener. He is the brother of Christopher Erik (fiancé Kevin L. Mahler) Miller of Wagener. He is the fiancé of 2nd Class Petty Officer Shakira M. Perry, USN. He is the grandson of Carolyn Miller of Gaston. He is the nephew of David and Marie Malatesta, Pat and Donna Malatesta, Bill and Debra Ostrum, and Dean and Kathy Miller. He is the great nephew of Bobby Hydrick, Peggy Brazier, David and Cindy Hydrick, Sara Hydrick, Sammy and Jenny Hydrick and Irene Hydrick.  He is also the grandson of the late Calvin E. Miller, the late Flora Jane Hydrick Miller, the late Tarquinio Malatesta, the late Elizabeth Berentzen, and the late Fred Berentzen.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 29th from 5 to 7 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel.   A Graveside service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, April 30th at Wagener Cemetery with full military honors presented by the United States Marine Corp.
