Mack A. Brown

West Columbia – Mack Arthur Brown, 74, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

Mack is the husband of Ruby Smith Brown for 45 years and the father of Rhonda Britt, Robin Bryan, and the late Rebecca “Becky” Bacon. He is the grandfather of Allen Bacon, Brent Galloway, Michael Bryan, Johnny Bryan, and the late Joey Galloway.  Mack is the brother of O’Shield Brown, Jr. (late Emily), Gloria Jean Smith (Jon Wayne), Judy Barr (Wayne), Winston Brown (Peggy), Carol Millwood (the late Hal), the late James Earl Brown (Mavis), and the late Mikell Tom “M. T.” Brown. He  has many nieces and nephews. Jackie Branham was a special loving cousin who was like a sister.  Teddy Clamp and the late Heyward Clamp, Jr. were special friends who grew up as Mack’s brothers.

Mack was born in Aiken County. He was the son of the late O’Shield Brown, Sr. and the late Addie Carolyn Corbett Brown. Mack was a member of Salley Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mack was an excellent carpenter and cabinet maker. He was known for his warm smile, blue eyes, and being a very humble person.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1 from 2 to 3 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Service Celebrating the life of Mack will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Phillip Proveaux ministering. Burial will be in the Salley Oak View Cemetery with military honors presented by the U. S. Army.
