Randall "Randy" Allen Shumpert

Sawyerdale – Randall “Randy” Allen Shumpert, 56, went to his heavenly home on Saturday January 18, 2020 surrounded by his family while they were all singing, praying, worshipping the Lord.

Randy is this loving husband of 34 years to Janette “Jan” Yon Shumpert. He is the father of Scott A. Shumpert, Andrew B. Shumpert and his wife Leah, and Daniel L. Shumpert. Randy is the grandfather of Abigail L. Shumpert, Silas J. Shumpert, Elizabeth G. Shumpert, and Abel O. Shumpert. He is the son of Richard Joseph Shumpert and the late Wilma Lois Shoemake Shumpert. Randy is the brother of Renee D. West and her husband Tom and the late Richard A. Shumpert and his wife Susan. Randy is the brother-in-law of Randall Yon and his wife Wanda and the late Nan Yon. He is the son-in-law of the late O’Ray Yon and Annette Poole Yon.

Randy gave his life to the Lord when he was 18 and has been serving his Lord for Thirty-Eight years.  He is the co-owner of Randy Shumpert’s Well Drilling along with his wife. They started the business in 1991 and will continue to operate through Jan and their son Daniel.  Randy was a member of Loves Call Full Gospel Church in West Columbia where his son Andrew is Pastor. He was proud that all three of his sons had submitted to God’s call to be Preachers.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 21, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral service will be 2 pm on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at the Shumpert's Hill Resting Place.
