Raymon "Ray" Edward Bolen, Sr.

WAGENER – Mr. Raymon Edward “Ray” Bolen, Sr., 70, entered into rest Sunday, September 3, 2017 on his and Terry’s 17th anniversary.

Ray is the loving husband and best friend of Terry G. Cooper Bolen, the father and father-in-law of Ray E. Bolen, Jr. and Heather of Martinez, GA, and the grandfather of Jolie Bolen and Walker Bolen. Ray is the brother and brother-in-law of Paulette and the late Jimmy Bolen of Wagener, the late Roger Bolen, Rodney Cooper of Aiken, and Linda and Mark Redd of Wagener. Ray’s furry babies are Monkey, Dobie, and Bugar.  One of Ray’s best friends is Richard Hardy.

Ray was born in Aiken County, the son of the late James Edward and Ossie Widener Bolen. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Ray retired from RECCO International where he was a Printing Supervisor for over 30 years.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC. A Celebration of Ray’s life will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. also in the chapel with the Rev. Chris Addy ministering. Burial will follow at the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery, 113 Tabernacle Rd., Springfield, SC 29146. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, at 1488 Salley Road, Salley, SC 29137. 

The family is gratefully appreciative to Helen Leach and “Their Special Angel” Paulette Bolen for their love and compassion.
