Annette Shumpert Padgett

Annette Shumpert Padgett, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

The Padgett family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 1 to 2 pm at Pauline Church of Christ. Funeral Service will begin at 2 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Rick Farwell will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Derwin Shumpert, Jay Shumpert, William Anders, Tim West, Brent Shumpert, and David Shumpert. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Shumpert and Glenn Shumpert. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Padgett was born in Lexington County on March 16, 1942 to the late Cephus Coleman Shumpert and the late Magdalene Roland Shumpert. Mrs. Padgett is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Gerald Ray Padgett; her siblings, Clyde Shumpert, Alford Shumpert, Theo Shumpert, Curtis Shumpert, Larry Shumpert, and Angie Anders; and her grandson, Eli Caleb Padgett.

Mrs. Padgett is survived by her sons, Dennis Padgett and his wife Marcia, and Trevor Padgett and his wife Penny; her grandchildren, Macey Padgett, Cameron Ramsey and her husband Guy, and Lee Padgett; great grandchildren, Lily Ramsey and twin Ramsey boys on the way; brother, Wendell Shumpert and his wife Ethel; sister, Elaine Ward and her husband James; sisters-in-law, Willette Taylor and Judy Shumpert; and many nieces and nephews.

The Padgett family would like to thank caregiver and friend Cissy Cooper and Pruitt Hospice (Wayne Wickers and Alyssa Hollifield) for their care and compassion during our time of need.
