Beulah Ruth Brazell Hughes

Wagener – Mrs. Beulah Ruth Brazell Hughes, 92, entered into rest on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Mrs. Ruth is the mother of James Mitchell “Mitch” Hughes, Jennifer Renee DiMauro, the late Stephen Mark Hughes, and the late Randolph Dale “Randy” Hughes. She is the grandmother of Tiffany Westmoreland and her husband Justin, Geno DiMauro and his wife Angie, Joshua Hughes, Stephen Mark Hughes, Chelsea Hughes, the late Randy Hughes, and the late Mary Elizabeth Hughes. Mrs. Ruth is the great grandmother of Dominick DiMauro, Antonio DiMauro, Gage Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Walker Westmoreland, and Allie Westmoreland. She is the wife of the late James Morris Hughes. She is also preceded in death by her parents: Katie Lee Brazell and Lee Brazell, her siblings: Lelon Brazell, Franklin Brazell, Thomas Brazell, Raymond Brazell, and Myrtle Brazell. She is the sister-in-law of Connie Brazell.

Mrs. Ruth, along with her husband James were the owners of Hughes Neighborhood Tavern. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. Mrs. Ruth was a people person and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral Service will at 2 pm on Friday, February 17, 2023 also in the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Wagener Cemetery. Rev. Mike McCormick will be officiating.
