Mr. Bobby Carroll Hydrick, 80, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
Bobby was born on September 24, 1943 in Aiken County to the late Lauriee Estell Ott Hydrick and the late George Byron Hydrick, Sr. Bobby was born and raised in the house he lived in until his passing. He is also preceded in death by his siblings; George B. Hydrick, Jr., Jane Miller, Jacob “J.W.” Hydrick, Webb Hydrick, Sammy Hydrick, and Jo-Ann Drew.
Left to cherish Bobby’s memories are his sister, Peggy Brazier; brother, David Hydrick and his wife Cindy; nephew, Robert “Smokey” Hydrick; in-laws, Sara Hydrick and Jennie Hydrick; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bobby retired after 30 years from the SCDOT as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor. He was a people person, he enjoyed spending time with friends. He had his weekly route around the Wagener community visiting and keeping up the with town news. Bobby loved the outdoors; he could often be found on his tractor plowing or planting. He also had a heart for children, he would take his nieces and nephews for tractor rides and spent time with them in various other ways. His love also included animals, especially his dog Ruby. Bobby will be dearly missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Wagener Cemetery.
