Batesburg – Boyce Pickens Carver, 61 entered into rest, Wednesday, June 9, 2021

Boyce is the son of the late John Boyce Carver and Carolyn Elizabeth McGee Carver. He is the grandson of late Burley P. and Laura Marie Carver and the late Ernest Riley and Bertha Mae McGee.   Boyce is the father of Kaitlyn Carver.  He is the grandfather of Riley Mae Carver.  Boyce is the brother of Crystal Carver Tindall and her late husband Larry, Laurie Holmes and her husband Todd.  Boyce is the nephew of George McGee and his wife Myrtle, Bob McGee and his wife Linda, Phyllis Busbee and her husband Robert, the late Peggy Gunter and her husband the late Paul.

Boyce is a member of New Holland Baptist Church.  He was an avid football fan and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.  Boyce loved hard rock.  He was the life of the party in his younger years.  He had a passion for all food that was pork.  His favorite snack was chocolate brownies and he was also known for his love of salt, jalapeños and hot sauce. 

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, June 11, 2021 at Blizzard Funeral Home (not in the chapel).  A Graveside service for Boyce will be at 6:00 pm Saturday, June 12, 2021 at New Holland Baptist Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers you may make memorial donations to American Cancer Society, 200 Center Point Cir #100 Columbia, SC 29210 or the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), 1735 St Julian Pl #300, Columbia, SC 29204.
