Bruce Walter Herbert

Wagener – Mr. Bruce Herbert, 69, entered into rest Monday, June 3, 2019.

Mr. Bruce is the husband of Carol H. Herbert for 46 years and the father of Luke (Becky Jourdan) Herbert. He is the grandfather of Kyia Metcalf and Camber Metcalf.  Mr. Bruce is the brother of Elbirn (Jamie) Herbert of Southampton, NJ, and brother-in-law of Janet (Budd) Montegna of Wagener, and the late Paul (Beverly) Barcalow. He is the Uncle of Matthew Herbert, Melissa (Mark) Chesla, Jennifer Foust-Jencik & Joseph, the late Billy Foust, Dennis (Coleen) Barcalow, Greg (Julie) Barcalow, Shawn (Kristan) Barcalow, and Holly (Dave) Gebhardt. He is the great uncle of Tanner Herbert, Kaitlyn “Janie” Dawson, Ashlyn (Mark) Johnson, Melissa Barcalow, Russell Barcalow, Travis Barcalow, Emily Rose Barcalow, Tyler Dodi, Dominic Gebhardt. He is the great great uncle of Mitchell Chesla, Makayla Chesla, Nicolette Johnson, and Nora Johnson. Mr. Bruce’s pit bull “Abby” is affectionately called his daughter.

Mr. Bruce was born in New Brunswick, N. J. He was the son of Walter and Blanche Matlack Herbert. Mr. Bruce and his wife Carol have owned and operated C & B Trucking for over 37 years.  His son Luke followed in his father’s footsteps by driving trucks and now has his own trucking business. He was passionate about car racing in his early years.

Visitation will be Friday, June 7th from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends may visit at other times at the home of Luke and Becky.
