Mrs. Carol Helen Barcalow Herbert, 70, entered into rest on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
Mrs. Carol is the loving mother of Luke Bruce Herbert and his wife Becky, and Brandon Wallace and his wife Lisa. She is the grandmother of Kyia Metcalf, Camber Metcalf, Braley Wallace, Haleigh Wallace, and Bentley Wallace. Mrs. Carol is the sister of Janet Montegna and her husband Budd, and the late Paul William Barcalow. She is the aunt of Jennifer Foust and her husband Joey Jencik, Dennis Barcalow and his wife Colleen, Greg Barcalow and his wife Julie, Shawn Barcalow, Holly Gebhardt and her husband Dave, and the late William Foust. Her fur babies are Abby and the late Taco.
Mrs. Carol was born in Lakewood, New Jersey to the late William “Bill” Emerson Barcalow and the late Helen Evelyn Saunders Barcalow. She was the loving wife of the late Bruce Herbert. They were married for 46 years at the time of his passing in 2019. The family finds comfort knowing that Bruce and Carol are finally back together. She along with her husband Bruce, owned and operated C&B Trucking. Mrs. Carol enjoyed cooking, canning, and sharing meals with her family and friends. She loved taking her daily walks with Abby. Among spending time with her family, she also enjoyed yard work and cutting grass. Tea Time at the pool with her sister was among one of her favorite things.
The Herbert family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Oncology Staff at Lexington Medical Center and Enhabit Hospice for the care shown to Mrs. Carol.
Celebration of Life Service will be 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
