Clara Lee (Shumpert) Jeffcoat

Fairview – Mrs. Clara Lee Shumpert Jeffcoat, 86, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. She is the wife of the late Cornelius Leo “Shorty” Jeffcoat, they were married for 49 years until his passing in 2006. Mrs. Clara is the mother of Terry Jeffcoat, Perry Jeffcoat, Kathy Mack, Patrick Jeffcoat, and the late James Jeffcoat. She is the grandmother “Maw-Maw” of Chris Macon, Kimberly Martinez, Ashley Odle and her husband Anthony, Blake Jeffcoat, and Faith Jeffcoat. She is the great grandmother of Mitchell Macon, Austin Macon, Adaline Odle, Cameron Odle, and Henri Martinez.

Mrs. Clara is the daughter of the late Vasco Shumpert and the late Lucy Gunter Shumpert. She is the sister of the late Buck Shumpert, the late Doc Shumpert, the late Lensey Shumpert, and the late Joann Rushton.

Mrs. Clara is a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Allied Chemical. She enjoyed working in the yard and gardening, especially growing flowers. Mrs. Clara was a loving mother and wife. She spent a lot of time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 - 3 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at 3 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
