Claridge "C.D." Tillison Obituary

Martinez, GA (Formerly of Wagener, SC)  – Mr. Claridge DeNell “C.D.” Tillison, entered into rest Friday, May 31st, 2019.

Mr. C. D. is the loving husband for 67 years to Virginia Spicer Tillison. He is the father of Bennett D. Tillison, Sue (Christopher) T. Smyly, Britta (Steve) J. Carver, and Robert (Tammy) G. Tillison. He is the grandfather of David (Karla) Tyler, Frederick Tillison, Gabriel Tillison, Christi (Lee) Romines, Spencer (Annie) Carver, Stephanie (Patrick) Blume, Matthew Carver, Robert G. Tillison, Jr., Ethan D. (Shannon) Tillison, great grandfather of Ethan Tillison, Ellaka Clark, David J. Tyler, Dalton D. Tyler, Serena Romines, Gary L. “Trey” Romines III, Tyler L. Romines, Spencer Wayde Carver, Welden Rhett Carver, and Carver Patrick Blume and the great great grandfather of Samuel Harrison Tyler. Mr. C. D. is the brother of Helen Greene and Howard (Nelda) Tillison.

Mr. C. D. was born in LaRue, Texas.  He was the son of the late Robert "Bob" Howard Tillison and the late Margaret Katrina Owen Tillison.  Mr. C. D. is a veteran of Vietnam and Korea having retired from the USAF. He was a former Chief of Police for the town of Wagener and then a Deputy Sheriff for Aiken County. Mr. C. D. was a member of First Baptist Church of Wagener.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to a Veterans organization of your choice in honor of Mr. C.D.

A Service of Remembrance will be 1 pm Monday, June 3rd at First Baptist Church of Wagener. The family will receive friends following the Service in the church sanctuary.
