Cynthia Lee (Kirkland) Castine

Mrs. Cynthia “Cyndi” Lee Kirkland Castine, 66, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Cyndi is the loving and devoted wife of John Willard Castine. On November 3, 2021, they celebrated 14 years of marriage.

She is the loving mother of Cristi York Moore and her husband Scott, Victoria Rae DeWerdt and her husband Kris, John Lawrence McManus III, and Adrian C. Richardson and her husband Bertram T. Richardson III. Cyndi is the grandmother “granny” of Mary Henry, Mallory Howell, Jordan and Brianna Gouveia, and Sydnee and Leighton Richardson. She is the great grandmother of Wyatt and Harper Howell. Cyndi is the daughter of the late Mary Louise Fox Minton, the late Hazel Lee Kirkland, and Ethel Kirkland. She is the sister of Richard Kirkland and his wife Sandra, and Jamie Minton.

Cyndi was born in Columbia, South Carolina and later in life moved to Wagener where she was a faithful member of Wagener United Methodist Church. She devoted much of her time to giving out food in the Wagener community through ACTS. Cyndi worked for Duplicating Products Inc. for 20 years, and retired from Digital Office Solutions in 2015.

Cyndi’s greatest joys in life were living at the lake, going to the beach and loving her grandkids and dogs. Cyndi will always be remembered for her selfless nature, fiery spirit, and infectious laugh. She touched so many lives in a short time and will be forever missed.

Visitation will be 12-1 pm on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Wagener United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be at 1 pm, also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at 3 pm at Olympia Cemetery, 673 Granby Lane, Columbia, South Carolina.
