Daisy Ruth Young

Salley – Mrs. Daisy Ruth Young, 91, entered into rest on Monday, May 25, 2020. A Service Celebrating the life of Mrs. Daisy will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John O’Cain officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with a social distancing visitation after. Friends and family may come view Mrs. Daisy on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Mrs. Young was born in Aiken County, daughter of the late Ben and Lillie Cooper Yon. She was married for 57 years to the late Lonnie Kenneth Young, Sr. and was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Janice (Bob) Ethridge; daughters-in-law Barbara Young and Glenda Young; grandchildren: Heather Ricard, David (Holli) Young, Todd (Michelle) Young, Monica (Brian) Franklin, Justin Young and Robert Young; great grandchildren: Joel and Landon Franklin, Daisy, Savanah, Drew and Jacob Young. She was preceded in death by her sons Danny Young and Lonnie K. Young, Jr. and her siblings J.E., Brodus, Bennie W., Jack, O’Ray, Bobby, and Franklin Yon, Betty Fulmer, and infant baby boy.
