Daisy Mae "Candy" (Stone) Jackson

Daisy Mae “Candy” Jackson, 59, was born on May 10, 1963 in Wagener, SC to Noah W. Stone and the late Daisy Mae Stokes Stone.

Candy graduated Wagener-Salley High School in May of 1978. Shortly after graduation she married Timothy K. Shealy, Sr. They were blessed with two sons Kevin and Jason Shealy. They later divorced. Later in life, she met her soul mate and long-time partner, Darryl Jackson, Sr. with whom she spent the rest of her days.

On March 31, 2023 in the early hours of the morning Candy transitioned from this world peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Left to cherish her memory is her father; Noah W. (Nancy) Stone; Partner: Darryl Jackson, Sr.; Two Sons: Kevin Shealy, Jr. and Jason Shealy; Daughters-in-law: Carlin Shealy and Amber Shealy; Grandchildren: Kierra, Isaac, Kellen, Caleb, and Judah (unborn) Shealy. Numerous nieces and nephews including: DiAnn and Michelle Smith, Cassandra Billings (Caretaker) and her daughter Raven Billings. Family and friends include Theresa Anderson, Wendy Kennedy, Patricia Jackson, Lisa Wallace, and April Mixon to name a few.

Candy loved frogs. She enjoyed cooking and especially baking pound cakes. Candy loved operating the restaurant with Darryl and cooking for all who came in. She loved all music, especially classic rock.

The family extends their loving gratitude to Cassandra and the staff of Trinity Hospice of Aiken for the compassionate care given to Candy and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the church or charity of your choice.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 at 6 pm in the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Rev. Chris Addy will be ministering. A time of fellowshipping with the family will follow the service.
