Wagener – Mr. David Eugene Bay, 78, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his wife of 43 years, Mary Ann Cantrell Bay, children: Debra “Debbie” Grim and her husband Daryl, David Scott Bay, Victoria Marianne Bay-Lique, June Roxanne Bay-Erb and her husband Michael, Daniel Albert Bay, Max Drinkwalter and his wife Kathleen “Kathy”, and Ryan Drinkwalter and his wife Marcia, grandchildren: Brittany Crouch, Kenneth Bay, Kaden Lique, Sean Lique, Mark Lique, Leah Spaeek and her husband Joshua, Michael Erb, Jr. and his wife Abbigail, Alex Drinkwalter, Kyle Drinkwalter, Isaac Drinkwalter, Julie Drinkwalter, and Alanna Drinkwalter, sister, Dorothy Winkleman, nieces and nephews: Diana Kaardal and her husband Paul, Steven Winkleman and his wife Tiffany, Joshua Winkleman and his wife Lynn, and Sarah Myers and her husband Dustin, great nieces and nephews: Alex Kaardal, Morgan Kaardal, Owen Winkleman, Maile Doyle and her husband Callum, Lillian Winkleman, Noelle Winkleman, Erika Doetkutt-Winkleman, Jayden Winkleman, Jaime Winkleman, Casen Myers, Halle Myers, and Carter Myers.
David was born on August 5, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado, to the late Albert Eugene Bay and the late Gladys Elizabeth Foster Bay Gregory.
David was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army having served in intelligence during the Vietnam War. David’s true passion was writing. He was a Christian journalist and Director of Cutting Edge Ministries sharing God's Word for over 40 years.
The funeral for David will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 132 Main St in Wagener, SC. Meal and visitation will follow the service.
