Mr. David Ferman Gantt, 86, entered into rest on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
David is survived by his son, David Wayne Gantt and his wife Donna, granddaughter, Maggie Gantt Vinson and her husband Nick, great granddaughters: Paisley Kate Vinson and Ruby Brielle Vinson, sister, Margaret G. Gray, and his life-long companion, Joann Faulkner.
David was born in Lexington County on August 14, 1938, to the late Jospeh Franklin “Frank” Gantt and the late Margaret “Maggie” Louise Gunter Gantt. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Sonya Wynette Gantt, and sibling and in-laws: Callie (Sandra) Gantt, Robert (Jeanette) Gantt, Joseph “Joe” Gantt, and Lester Gray.
David is a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Holley Tractor until he was drafted, after his service in the military he returned to Holley Tractor where he retired after 43 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 3 PM also in the church sanctuary. Pastor Kurt Gieb is ministering to the family. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
