Salley – Dewey Cooper, Jr., 79, entered into rest Friday, January 15, 2021.
Dewey Jr. is the father of Dondra C. Parsons and her husband Greg, and Dana Cooper and her fiancé Henderson Wheeler. He is the grandfather of Janna Parsons, Adam Parsons, Alan and his wife Katie Parsons, and Brandon Cooper and his wife Randi. Dewey Jr. is the great grandfather of Hunter Parsons, Mason Parsons, and Eli Cooper. He is the brother of Vondelle Poole, Gaynelle Williamson and her companion Robert Joyner, Jr., Pamela Cooper, Alton Cooper and his wife Iona, Sherman Cooper and his wife Wanda, Arlen “PeeWee“ Cooper, Faye Jeffcoat and her husband Gregrory “Hip”, Cindy Fulmer and her husband Charles, the late Timothy Cooper, and the late Beverly Galloway. Dewey Jr. is the son of the late Dewey Cooper, Sr. and the late Ottie Lee Baughman Cooper. He has many nieces and nephews.
Lulu was his pet companion whom he loved very much and passed a few weeks prior to him. Dewey Jr. enjoyed watching NASCAR and collected model race cars.
The family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
