Diane Williams Sharpe

Salley – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Williams Sharpe, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at age 77. 

Left to cherish Diane’s memory is her son, Lunsford Tracy Williams (Nicole Maynard); her grandchildren, Savanna Williams (Sean) Dooley, Lexus Nicole Williams (Austin Rossi), and Kenneth Ray Williams Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Aria Raine Dooley, Aidan Rivers Dooley, Caroline Nicole Rossi, and Sydney Henderson; her brother, Malcom Eugene Lucas; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Diane was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, James “Jim” Barney Sharpe, Jr., who passed away in 2019. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Williams, her parents, Ernest Odelle Lucas and Lillian Lurlene Jeffcoat Lucas, and her sisters, Glenda Faye Lucas Craft and Donna Lorraine Lucas Sealy.

Diane was a woman of extraordinary kindness and beauty, both inside and out. A devoted Christian, she found solace and strength in her relationship with God. Her gentle spirit and warm smile touched the lives of everyone she met. She cherished her family deeply. Her devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was unwavering, and she found immense joy in their company. A true animal lover, Diane had a special place in her heart for her pets, but loved all creatures great and small. 

Diane enjoyed the simple things in life. She had an appreciation for a delicious meal, always eager to try new restaurants and savor her favorites, especially when surrounded by family and friends. Shopping was another of her passions, where she found delight in discovering unique treasures and sharing them with loved ones.

Diane will be greatly missed and her memory will remain forever in our hearts, a reminder of her love, gentle spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

A service celebrating Diane’s life will take place at Pelion United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 6th at 2pm.
