Donald "Donnie" Rushton

Donald “Donnie” James Rushton, 61, entered into rest on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Donnie was born on April 6, 1964, to Earlene Senterfeit Rushton and the late James Albert Rushton. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruthie Renee Hill Rushton, his sons: Jason Anthony Rushton and his wife the late Winter and Joshua Clifton Rushton and his wife Heather, grandchildren: Jason Donald “J.D.” Rushton, Allison Ruthie Rushton, Natlie Rushton and her husband Scott Moore, Grace Rushton, and Wesley Rushton, great grandchildren: Stetson Moore and Baylor Moore, brothers: James “Jimmy” Henry Rushton and his wife Josie, and Michael Lee Rushton and his wife Carolyn, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donnie enjoyed riding his moped, shooting pool, and going fishing with his friend Tommy Davis. Most of all, Donnie loved cutting grass; he cut his family members grass to be a help to them and to also do what he loved.

Visitation will be 12:30 -1:30 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Perry First Assembly of God. Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will be at Wagener Cemetery. Pastor Roger Hunnicutt will be officiating.
