Donnie Yon

Donnie R. Yon, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on, October 19, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife Mildred B. Yon of 55 years, children, Tammy Yon-Neeley, “Chris”, Michael A. Yon, and “Brittany”. He cherished his grandchildren, Destiny R. Neeley and her fiancé Bridge Jernigan, Madison N. Neeley, and Genevieve “Eve” Yon

He loved his nieces and nephews as his own children, Darryl McDaniel, Deborah (Jason) Wollam, Lisa (Fred) Hester, Dale Yon “Spanky”, Kenneth, (Bobbie) Yon, Jesse McGlocklin, Jason McGlocklin, Jackie (Bobby) McGuffin, Belinda (David) Ayers, Deborah (Julie) Barton, Michelle (Nick) McBride, Jennifer Lyle, and Travis Lyle.

Donnie was born in Jackson County, Florida, on December 5, 1947, to the late Leaman Edward Yon and the late Geneive Hutto Yon.

Donnie was preceded in death by siblings Paul Yon, Barbarba Ann McDaniel, Carolyn Yon-Woods, James E. Yon.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and gentle quiet nature that touched all that knew him.

Visitation will be 2-3:30 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 3:30 pm also in the chapel. Burials will follow at Wagener Cemetery.

Serving as Donnie's Pallbearers are: Chris Neeley, Paul Bodie, Brian Adams, Bridge Jernigan, Dale Yon, and Kenneth Yon.
