Edith Lucille (Teal) Widener

Mrs. Edith Lucille Teal Widener, 94, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Mrs. Edith is the wife of the late Charlie Widener, Jr. They were married for 60 years until his passing in 2009. Mrs. Edith is the mother of Betty McRae, Kenneth “Kenny” Widener and his wife Joann, Peggy Gantt, Phillip Widener and his wife Ann, David Widener and his wife Tina, and the late Larry Allen Widener. She raised her great grandson Joey Williams. Mrs. Edith is the grandmother of Jessica Williams and her husband Man, Amber Rose Widener, Jay Barney and his wife Molly, Michelle Rosser and her husband Chad, Price Langford and his wife Karen, Christopher Widener and his wife Sandra, Jonathan Widener and his wife Kippy, April Wood and her husband Jimmy, Angela Taylor and her husband Todd, and the late Chuck Williams.  She is the great grandmother of Kelila Williams, Tori (Jake) Barney, Charlie Barney, Tucker Neely and his fiancée Meredith, Carson Rosser, Cade Beth Rosser, Gracie Langford, Kathleen Langford, Caine Widener, Justin Widener, Jordan Widener, Braelynn Widener, Marquiece Sims and his wife Sheena, Taylor Sims and her husband Charles, Timothy Sims, Stephen Smith, T.C. Rushton and his fiancée Maddie, Balam Gunter, and Camron Gunter and his wife Victoria. Mrs. Edith is the great great grandmother Amora Starr Williams, Jaceyon Scott, Rahmani Williams, Keilee Sims, Lily Sims, Jaxson Sims, Aidan Havens, Riley Havens, Cloey Havens, Mindy Havens, Cassey Havens, and Grayson Gunter.

Mrs. Edith was born in Gainsville, Georgia to the late Frank James Teal and the late Pearl Lucindy Walden Teal. She is also preceded in death by her 9 siblings: Homer Teal, Elsie Mae Meetze, Thomas Teal, Florence Teal, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Teal, Charlie Teal, Lurie “Lucy” Louise Wise, Frank Teal and his wife Donna, and Robert Teal.

Visitation will be 11 – 12 pm on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Wagener First Baptist Church. A Service Celebrating Mrs. Edith’s life will be 12 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Wagener Cemetery.
