Emily Joy (Meadows) Simmons

Salley – Emily Joy Meadows Simmons, 31, entered into rest on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Emily is the loving, understanding, and patient wife for ten years of Harry Lewis Simmons, IV. She is the adoring mother of Rebekah Rose Simmons, Shawn Nikolas Simmons, Gabriel Luke Simmons, and Sarah Katelin Simmons. Emily is the daughter of Allen Russell Meadows and Karen Marie Leonhardt Meadows. She is the daughter-in-law of Harry Lewis Simmons III and Jennifer Simmons. Emily is the sister of Jessica Lynn Auman and her husband David Walker Auman, Allison Rose Meadows, William Allen Meadows, Ariana Starrshadow Meadows, Angelique Joymarie Meadows, and Damien Jacob Meadows. She is the sister-in-law of Lyndsey Nicole Simmons. She is the granddaughter of Debra Lois Meadows, Ambrose Eugene Albright, Marguerite Sidney Steele Seay, Kenny Seay, Harry Lewis Simmons, Jr. and Doris Simmons, Diane Farmer, and Bill Crawford. Emily is the aunt of Charity Skye Wishon, Taylor Raine Wishon, and Willow May Wishon. She has many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Emily and her family have come to love the Berlin Baptist Church as part of their family. While she was loving, caring, compassionate and generous, she was very adamant with her wishes and desires. You knew her love for God and people by her words as well as her actions.

A Service Celebrating the life of Emily will be held at 6 pm Wednesday at Berlin Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Emily will be laid to rest in the presence of her family. Rev. Michael McCormick will be ministering.
