Mr. Ernest Leslie Bowen, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
Ernest is survived by his son: Ernest “Ernie” Eugene Bowen and his wife Jaime, grandchildren: Ernest Benjamin “Ben” Bowen and his fiancé Allison Hendrix, and Shanea Bowen Corle and her husband Chris, step grandchildren: Kayleigh Adams, and Adreana Bilka, great grandchildren: Eva Corle, Wiley Corle, and Daxton Corle. Ernest is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years: Joyce Elizabeth Shealy Bowen, his daughters: Debra Sue Bowen, and Pam Elaine Bowen Bellemy, and his parents: Eva Ernestine Spires Bowen and Leslie Ben Bowen.
Ernest was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War. He was a Mason, being a member of Springdale Masonic Lodge No. 412. Ernest was the owner and operator of Bowen Construction for over 30 years. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Ernest enjoyed fishing and dancing.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 11 am on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Southland Memorial Gardens with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers will be the members of Springdale Masonic Lodge No. 412.
