Aiken – Mrs. Evelean Elizabeth Chavis Williams, 92, entered into rest on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

Mrs. Evelean is the loving mother of Carroll Chavous and his wife the late Andrea, Steven Chavous and his wife the late Shirley, Lonnie Chavis and his wife Katie Ann, Burnice “Bernie” Chavis, Jr. and his wife Lisa, Nina Chavis Williams and her husband the late Richard, Tina Chavis Mills, and the late Rodney Chavis and his wife Dianne. She is the grandmother of Christopher Carroll Chavous and his wife Shannon, Burnice Leo Chavous and his wife Karrie, Jonathan Michael Chavous and his wife Sally, Audrey Elizabeth Keith and her husband Chad, Adrianne Elaine Sapp and her husband Justin, Amanda Ellen Chavous, Aaron Eugene Chavous, Aaron Alan Chavous, Andrea Dawn Watts and her husband James,  Elisha Jones, Angela “Angie” Reams and her husband Chip, Bonnie Ann Swearingen, Shannon Elizabeth Carey and her husband Rob, Joshua Simpson Chavis and his wife Lee Ann, Daronda Lynn Hawkins and her husband Ashley, Kelley Marie Taylor and her husband Jeffrey, Sharon “Kayla” Morison and her husband Brandon, Caleb Monday Chavis, Stephanie Chavis, Vanessa Dahan, Amber Nicole Mills, the late Sherrie Marie Cooper, the late Lonnie “Scoop” Chavis, Jr., the late Victor Adam Chavis, and the late Robert Lee-Patrick Chavis. Mrs. Evelean is the great grandmother of 34 and the great great grandmother of 10.  Mrs. Evelean is the sister of Jennie Clark, Shirley “Fuzzy” Lucas, the late Frankie Chavis, the late Willie Lee Chavis, the late Jessie Chavis, the late Cornell Chavis, the late Wilson Peter Chavis, the late Jackie Chavis, the late Rudolph “PeeWee” Chavis, Jr., the late Roger Dale Chavis, the late Zellie Mae Morris, the late Riola Howell, and the late Viola Wienbeck. Mrs. Evelean is preceded in death by her first husband Burnice Chavis and her second husband Clyde Jacob Williams. She is the daughter of the late Rudolph Chavis and the late Hollie Skipper Chavis.

Mrs. Evelean is a member of Banner of Love Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed watching birds and looking at flowers. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Evelean enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and friends.

Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
