Fannie Katherine Baughman Gantt

Leesville – Mrs. Fannie Katherine Baughman Gantt, 102, entered into rest on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Mrs. Fannie was married to the late William Byron Gantt, Sr. for 68 years. She is the mother of Gloria Gantt Julius, William “Bill” Byron Gantt, Jr. and his wife Becky, James “Jimmy” Ocie Gantt and his wife Lisa, and the late Barbara Jean Gunn and her husband the late Melvin. Mrs. Fannie is the grandmother of Staley Authur “Art” Clemmer, Kristi Leigh Vuocolo and her husband Joseph, Missy Harmon and her husband Andy, Heather Kimble and her husband Tommy, Michelle Erskine, Kimberly Kneece and her husband Kane, Brittany Gantt, and Christian Gantt. Mrs. Fannie has many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fannie is the daughter of the late Ava Gunter Baughman and the late James Cleveland Baughman. She is the sister of the late Elsie Smith, Archie Baughman, William Baughman, Cecil O. Baughman, Evelyn Jones, Laura McCarty, Faye Oswald, and Debbie Woodard. 

Mrs. Fannie was a member of Convent Baptist Church. She loved cooking for her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved going fishing, frying her catch, and eating at “The Shrimper”. She also loved organizing and attending family reunions. 

Visitation will be 10-11 am on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Convent Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at 11 am also in the church sanctuary with Pastor Travis Crumpton and Pastor Milford Oswald officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
