Ms. Frances Elizabeth Davis Knowles “Frankie”, 90, entered into rest Thursday, December 24, 2020.
Ms. Knowles is the mother of Kathleen “Katie” Maxine Knowles, the late Keith Howard Knowles, and the late Kenneth Thomas Knowles. She is the daughter of the late Thomas Gilbert Davis and the late Kathleen Boyleston Davis.
Ms. Knowles graduated from Columbia College. She taught elementary school for five years in Atlanta and then was one of the first teachers to volunteer to teach in Aiken County at Pine Crest Elementary. Ms. Knowles retired in 1996 after 27 years teaching. She continued to work and learned to drive 18 wheelers becoming an Independent Truck Driver where she drove for eleven years.
