George Dewey Bigbee, III

Mr. George Dewey Bigbee, III, 81, entered into rest on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Left to cherish George’s memories are his stepsons: William Carrion and Chris Carrion (wife English) stepdaughter Penny Baxley Sikes (husband Clay), "brother" Marion Sox and his wife Barbara, and his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Bos’n.

George was born on July 22, 1944, in Salley, South Carolina to the late Margaret Adams Bigbee and the late George Dewey Bigbee, II.

George served his country proudly in the United States Coast Guard. After his time in the service, George became a draftsman. He used his talents and knowledge to create large versions of model ships, two of which are now in museums in Virginia and North Carolina.  

Graveside service will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Military honors at Salley Oakview Cemetery.
