Ginger was a lifelong resident of Pelion, where her warm presence touched the lives of many. She was known for her love of literature, spending countless hours immersed in the pages of her favorite books. Her affection for her niece and nephew was evident in the joy she found in taking them to the movies, creating cherished memories that will endure for generations to come.

She leaves behind her brother, Blaine Smith; her nephew Tyson "Ty" Smith and his wife Jessica; her niece Jamie Smith, along with Jamie's husband, Brandon, and great-nephews Connor Smith, Luke Smith, and Cliff Smith and great-niece Katelyn Hoffman.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents and her aunt and best friend, Mildred "Tootsie" Smith.

A longstanding member of Pelion Baptist Church, Ginger devoted her time to teaching Sunday School and sharing her faith and kindness with all who crossed her path. Professionally, she served as a supervisor at the SC Department of Motor Vehicles for over 40 years, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
