Gloriana was born on June 9, 1931 in New York City, New York. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick Emil Reinhard and the late Vivian Ethel Reinhard. Gloriana was the sister of Vivian L. Reinhard and the late Frederick “Duke” Reinhard. She was the aunt of Patricia McLoughlin Caldwell and her husband Quinton M. Caldwell.
Gloriana grew up in NYC (Yorkville). She studied art and design and was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Gloriana married Worth Wardlaw (Mississippi) who was a graduate of the US Military Academy. As an army wife she moved frequently, spending time in Germany, Texas, and Georgia. Divorced in 1962, Gloriana sought work and was eventually employed at the Strook, Strook and Lavan Law Firm. She worked for Strook over 30 years before retiring in 2009 at the age of 78. She loved her job and missed it dearly.
Gloriana lived in Rockaway Beach, NY. She had a circle of friends (several from grade school) who she saw regularly and corresponded with until her death. Most summer weekends were spent with friends at the beach, at the handball courts and local restaurants to play and socialize.
Gloriana was a great lover of cats, having many over the years. Her most recent at the time of her death was Sara Beth.
Gloriana was an avid supporter of U. S. ice skating team competitions and attended many over the years with friends she met at the events. She also loved NY sports teams especially the New York Giants (attended the Super Bowl in 1987). If there was a Giants, Yankee, or Mets game on TV, she was watching.
In 2017, because of failing health and several falls, she moved to South Carolina to be close to her sister and niece however her heart remained in New York.
She was loved and will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
