Harris Lane Jackson, 75, entered into rest on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Harris Lane was born on March 26, 1949 to the late James Efird Jackson and the late Evelyn Williamson Jackson Martin.
Left to cherish his memory are his son James “Jamie” Jackson; daughter, Jennie Peele; grandchildren: Taylor Collier and her husband Tristan, Madison Peele, Brayden Brewer, and Ava-Grace Brewer; brother, James Edward “Eddie” Jackson; nephew, James Jackson Jr. and his fiancée Kristen; and the mother of his children, Sherrie Gossett.
Harris Lane and his family were the owners of Jackson Feed & Grain. A member of Ebenezer Church and a lifelong resident of Lexington County, he was known for his kind spirit and made friends wherever he went. He had a natural affinity for the outdoors and loved to hunt, finding joy in nature and the peace it brought.
As a brother, uncle, father, and grandfather, Harris Lane exemplified love and devotion. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he dedicated his life to nurturing and supporting them. He cherished every moment spent with family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
Harris’s legacy of friendship, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a community that was enriched by his kindness and a family that will carry his spirit with them always.
Services will be held at Ebenezer Church on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m., followed by visitation.
